General Practitioner (GP)

Mindspace Mayo offers early and brief intervention for young people aged 12-25 and their families. The Mindspace model aspires to work collaboratively with young people, placing their needs and the wider community at the heart of therapeutic work. Mindspace Mayo supports young people presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety.

This post is for 3 hours per week and duties will include patient consultations with Mindspace clients, physical examinations, diagnoses and treatment of illnesses/ailments, health education, practice management and administration, liaising with Mindspace staff and other health care professionals and making onward referrals to specialist services where indicated. The GP must be a fully Registered Medical Practitioner with the Irish Medical Council.
